Better late than never… We are only 2 months far from 2021 and I just barely managed to finish my recap for 2019 😅
I have again grouped the recap of my 2019 under 4 sections: places, books, songs, and milestones.

Songs
More music, please! I was blessed to watch Paul Kalkbrenner’s live performance on my birthday in Tallinn, Estonia. From that moment so far, I am a big fan of his music! Here are my favorite songs in 2019:
Milestones
Under this section, I will be listing the experiences that I consider as milestones in my life.
Aerial videos were on my radar for a long time and I was waiting my time to get a drone to produce high-quality aerial photos and videos :D So I decided to gift myself a DJI mavic pro for my birthday. To fly a drone was an amazing experience but it requires mobility and good weather conditions, which I couldn’t manage to have in Tallinn most of the time. Therefore, our paths went separate ways with my white eagle for the nonce.
My childhood dream became true! When I was in high school, I was playing guitar and as a matter of course, I was a big fan of Metallica. After 10 years, when I learned that Metallica would come to Tartu, Estonia, I wouldn’t miss the chance.
When my colleague recommended me to get a ticket for Paul Kalkbrenner concert, I wasn’t sure about it since I have never listened to his songs before. On the other hand, the concert was on my birthday so I have decided to give it a shot! It was one of the best decisions I have ever made in 2019. Oh god.. what a performance it was!!! From that day so far, I am one of the biggest fans of him! If you are reading this post, I highly recommend you to watch his movie called “Berlin Calling”.
Iceland was one of my travel destinations in 2019. It was an amazing 6 days trip! Route 1 (1322 km) is the main highway and it’s all about rolling around the island. The route usually takes between 1 or 2 weeks but we manage to finish it in 4 days! The white path you see on the image above represents my longest drive ever, which is 697 km in one day according to Google Maps. On September 6, the ride started from Höfn at 06:36 am and ended at Reyjkjavik at 01:34 am.
The first promotion in my Software Engineering career happened in July. I am grateful to my company to believe in me for the Tech Lead position.
I fell in love with the beauty of the Jökulsárlón glacier in Iceland. After that meeting, chasing the ice is a lifetime goal!
That’s all from me for 2019! It took me 6 months to finalize this post, let’s see how soon I will be able to share my recap of 2020 🤔
